Boiler repair & replacement

Boiler repair & replacement
across Toronto & the GTA

Boilers fail differently from furnaces. The heat usually goes room by room, and the cause is as often in the loops, pumps and valves as in the boiler itself.

Hydronic heating

Boilers that keep Toronto buildings comfortably warm

A radiator that never gets hot, a zone that works only when another is off, a system that needs topping up every few weeks — these are distribution faults, and swapping the boiler will not fix any of them. We diagnose the boiler and the loop together, because on a hydronic system they are one machine.

Toronto has a lot of older hydronic heating still running well, and it is worth keeping running. Cast-iron boilers can be serviced long past the point most companies would condemn them, and where a replacement genuinely is due, a condensing or combi unit has to be piped correctly for it to deliver what it promises.

Near-boiler piping, condensate neutralisation and correct venting are where hydronic installs go wrong quietly. They are also invisible at handover, which is exactly why we document what was done and why.

What matters most for boiler repair and replacement in the GTA
Right sizing, licensed gas/refrigeration work, and commissioning beat the cheapest sticker price. We verify airflow, safety devices, condensate paths, and controls so your system does not fail the first extreme week of the season. Ask us about dual-fuel, zoning, and rebate-eligible models during your quote.
Condensing boiler incentives
High-efficiency condensing boilers may qualify for utility or provincial incentives when correctly sized and installed. Review current details on our rebates & incentives page before you order equipment.
Boiler warning signs
  • Pressure drops repeatedly after refill
  • Radiators cold at the top or entire zones offline
  • Gurgling, banging, or kettling noises
  • Visible leaks at fittings, pump seals, or the relief valve
  • Pilot or ignition faults on gas boilers
  • Yellow flame, soot, or strong combustion odours
  • Boiler cycling on and off every few minutes
  • Expansion tank waterlogged or relief valve dripping

Client reviews

Boiler clients across the GTA

Our 1980s cast-iron boiler kept losing pressure. They found a micro-leak at a radiator valve and a failed expansion tank — fixed both, and the system has been stable all winter.
A. Kowalski
Toronto Annex
Replaced our atmospheric boiler with a wall-hung condensing unit. Piping looked factory-clean and they explained outdoor reset so we are not overheating the house.
R. Singh
Brampton
Zone valves on the third floor were dead. Same-day actuators, purged the loops, and every radiator is hot again. Highly recommend.

FAQ

Boiler FAQ for Toronto homeowners

Common causes include small system leaks, a failed auto-fill, a waterlogged expansion tank, or a weeping relief valve. We pressure-test and inspect fittings rather than endlessly topping up.
A combi boiler provides space heating and on-demand domestic hot water in one cabinet. A heating-only boiler needs a separate tank or indirect for hot water. We help choose based on fixture count and simultaneous demand.
Well-maintained cast-iron boilers can run decades; condensing heat exchangers often last 12–20 years depending on water quality and maintenance. Annual service extends life significantly.
Sometimes — it depends on available distribution paths, floor construction, and budget. Many clients combine a new boiler with existing radiators or add radiant zones. Start with a site assessment.
Yes. They typically use PVC/CPVC or polypropylene venting and require condensate drainage with neutralization when required. Improper venting voids warranties and is unsafe — we install to manufacturer and code.
Often it is air, undersized piping, failed zone valves, or balancing — not the burner itself. We check the boiler first, then walk the distribution.
High-efficiency condensing models sometimes qualify. See rebates & incentives and we will flag matches on your proposal.
Cost depends on equipment capacity, brand, duct or piping complexity, electrical/gas upgrades, and whether you repair or replace. We provide written quotes after a site assessment so you can compare options fairly. Call 647 953-4252 for a visit.
Yes. We are based in North York at 132 Cartwright Ave and regularly serve Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Brampton, and nearby communities.
Yes. Gas and refrigeration work is performed by TSSA-licensed technicians. We follow Ontario code practice for venting, refrigerant handling, electrical disconnects, and condensate management.
