Commercial HVAC Toronto

Rooftop and facility HVAC that keeps tenants comfortable

Commercial work is judged by whether the space below stayed open. That single constraint shapes everything else — when the crane comes, when the roof is opened, how long a unit can be down, and whether the job happens overnight or over a closed weekend.

The buildings we look after are mostly small commercial: shops, offices, clinics, restaurants and light industrial units where one or two rooftop units carry the whole floor. There is no plant room, no redundancy, and no spare machine to fall back on.

That makes planned maintenance worth more here than in a building with backup. Most of the failures we attend were visible at the previous service, and the difference between a scheduled visit and an emergency one is usually a seized damper or a blocked drain nobody looked at.

Commercial downtime is expensive
We diagnose economizer, ignition, compressor, and control faults before recommending a crane day. When replacement is required, we match curb, gas, electrical, and condensate paths so the new package does not create secondary problems for your tenants.
High-efficiency commercial equipment incentives
Qualifying high-efficiency rooftop replacements may unlock utility programs depending on IEER/SEER2 and furnace AFUE. We note likely paths on quotes — see rebates.
When to call for commercial HVAC
  • No cool / no heat affecting tenants
  • Short cycling, lockouts, or economizer faults
  • Unusual noise or vibration on the roof
  • Rising energy use with stable occupancy
  • Unit age 12–20+ years with major failures
  • Planned capital replacement this fiscal year
  • New fit-out changing load or hours
  • Need documented maintenance for insurance/lease
Rooftop unit or split system?

Rooftop unit vs. commercial split system

Both cool and heat commercial space well — the right call depends on your roof, ceiling height, and zoning needs.

FAQ

Commercial HVAC FAQ — Toronto

Yes. We assess, repair, maintain, and replace packaged rooftop units for GTA commercial buildings. Call 647 953-4252 with model numbers and roof access details.
Repeated major repairs, obsolete refrigerant, unavailable compressors, or chronic efficiency problems usually tip toward replacement. We document both paths with costs.
Many commercial sites need evenings or weekends. Tell us access windows when you book so we can plan crane and lockout accordingly.
Many retail and office suites land in the 3–6 ton range, but glass, kitchen, and occupancy loads change that. See our RTU guides or book a load review.
Yes — visit our chillers page or mention both systems when you call.
We triage by severity and parts. Peak summer demand stretches schedules — call early with model numbers so we arrive prepared.
Cost depends on equipment capacity, brand, duct or piping complexity, electrical/gas upgrades, and whether you repair or replace. We provide written quotes after a site assessment so you can compare options fairly. Call 647 953-4252 for a visit.
Yes. We are based in North York at 132 Cartwright Ave and regularly serve Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Brampton, and nearby communities.
Yes. Gas and refrigeration work is performed by TSSA-licensed technicians. We follow Ontario code practice for venting, refrigerant handling, electrical disconnects, and condensate management.
Many like-for-like replacements finish in one day; complex duct, line-set, or commercial projects may take longer. Your written quote includes the expected schedule and any crane or access notes.
